Weight Loss Shakes That Help Shed the Pounds

Before we get into what is in the weight loss shakes, let's look at the results you will receive. Let's face it, everything we do, we will only continue to do if we get results. So what you may experience from the shakes are:
• Feeling satiated or not being physically hungry for an extended period of time
• Increased emotional wellbeing or feeling good
• A better hormonal balance that supports weight loss
• An enjoyable meal or snack - it tastes good!

Ingredients needed to make your own weight loss shakes:
1. Unflavored Protein Isolate:
Protein isolates are the purest form of protein available. Many times protein concentrations are loaded with additives, preservatives, toxins and filling agents that may promote weight gain. When you see the word "isolate" you know the product is at least 85% pure protein but many times 100% pure protein. Having an unflavored isolate will allow you the flexibility in creating a variety of flavors in making your shakes.

2. Chia seeds:
Chia seeds are the richest plant source of omega 3 fatty acids. They are a good source of protein, fiber and high in tryptophan which supports the production of serotonin. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that causes us to feel good. When ingested they expand nine times their size to assist in decreasing the feeling of hunger.

3. Frozen Berries:
Choosing blueberries, raspberries, or mixed berries are your best options. These berries are the lowest on the glycemic index and a good source of fiber, both supporting healthy weight loss

4. Kale or Spinach:
If you are anything like my seven year old, you may be turning up your nose at the thought of eating kale but she actually loves the shake. Research shows that kale and spinach assist in decreasing hunger due to a variety of nutritional benefits.

5. Water
6. Blender
Directions to make your own shakes:
1. Place the following ingredients in the blender:
• 10 - 12 ounces of water
• 20 - 30 grams of unflavored protein isolates

• one cup of frozen berries (no sugar added)
• one to two cups of raw kale or spinach

2. Blend until smooth and serve
Have one to two weight loss shakes per day. Have one first thing in the morning to get your day started off right. I recommend having a second shake late in the afternoon. You want your second shake to be about an hour before you usually start to snack in the afternoon or evening. Your search for weight loss shakes that provides results stops here; enjoy the benefits!
